IHG Future Leader to Director of Sales at Intercontinental Riyadh in Saudi - Faisal Al Manies’ remarkable career journey (all in less than 2 years!)
Faisal joined IHG at the Intercontinental Riyadh, Saudi in 2019, as part of the IHG Future Leader, Aspire programme. With his determined attitude he was able to flourish in an environment that provided him with great support and education and training.
Faisal commented - ‘The programme trained me in key corporate functions and gave me 'Room to Grow' which makes me today a fully rounded colleague with a more holistic and inclusive approach to all aspects of hospitality.
With a second year strongly impacted by the pandemic and many unfamiliar challenges and pressures - it’s been very rewarding to help support a recovery and respond together at pace during this difficult time’
Judith Marzo - Talent Manager – India Middle East & Africa, added ‘his passion for the industry and the people that work within it mean that he is able to unlock opportunities that would otherwise seem unfeasible at his age. During the pandemic through his relationship skills he managed to lead his own task force at a sister property where he not only completed the designated assignment but he also took the initiative to create his own cross-training plan and set-up time with each of the Executive Committee in the property to learn from them.
All the above has meant that upon completing the Future Leaders, Aspire program Faisal was promoted to, Director of Sales. In doing so, becoming the first Future Leader, Aspire Graduate to achieve such a senior role upon completing the program.
We have no doubt that he is going to grow from strength to strength within IHG, he embodies the true meaning of a Future Leader’
Now fully graduated from the Future Leaders, Aspire Programme and embarking on what we know will be a career to watch, IHG Hotels & Resorts proudly congratulate Faisal.
