Utility Mechanic – Six Senses Kanuhura

Duties and Responsibilities 
As Utility Mechanic, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following: 

•    Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system inspections.
•    Troubleshoot and fix mechanical failures in engines and electrical systems, including controllers, alternators, and switchgear.
•    Install new equipment and perform load-bank testing to verify efficiency and output.
•    Performing required overhauling and repairing. 
•    Provide 24/7 on-call support for emergency breakdowns to restore power at any given time. 
•    Maintain accurate service records, inventory, and work orders.
•    Overall Mtce and repairs of Utility machineries like RO plant, STP and other related equipment. 

Qualifications
To execute the position of Utility Mechanic, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

•    Often requires a high school diploma or specialized training or certifications are highly preferred.
•    Generally, 3-5+ years of related experience in diesel/gas generator repair.
•    Expertise in diesel engines, AC/DC electrical systems, and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
•    Good theoretical knowledge in Mechanical and electrical side of any kind of Generators. 
•    Ability to work in varied environments, lift heavy equipment, and work long hours when necessary.
•    Fluent in English.
