Transport Supervisor – Six Senses Kanuhura

Duties and Responsibilities 
As Transport Supervisor, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following: 
•    Provide safety briefings to guests and staff, highlighting vehicle and seaplane safety equipment and proper usage prior to departure.
•    Supervise and coordinate daily transport operations, ensuring drivers and seaplane crews follow designated routes, schedules, and safety procedures.
•    Arrange and manage seaplane transfers for guests,Hosts coordinating with pilots, ground staff, and port authorities to ensure seamless, timely, and safe operations.
•    Monitor vehicle and seaplane movements using communication systems (radios, GPS tracking, dispatch systems) to ensure timely and efficient service.
•    Plan routes, calculate travel times, and adjust schedules based on traffic, weather, sea conditions, and operational requirements.
•    Inspect vehicles and seaplanes regularly to ensure safe and efficient operation, proper maintenance, and compliance with transportation regulations.
•    Direct and coordinate drivers, seaplane staff, and transport personnel in activities such as passenger pick-up and drop-off, luggage handling, and vehicle/aircraft preparation.
•    Oversee the loading and unloading of passengers or goods to ensure safety and service standards are maintained.
•    Ensure daily vehicle and seaplane checks are completed, including fuel levels, engine condition, cleanliness, and safety equipment availability.
•    Maintain company service standards and operational guidelines, ensuring performance benchmarks are met and exceeded.
•    Strictly adhere to LQA and Six Senses standards, continuously reviewing guest feedback to improve transport and transfer services.

Qualifications
To execute the position of Transport Supervisor, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

•    Yacht Master or equivalent, or the minimum of Day Skipper or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar hotel operational role. 
•    Technical skills include more than two years of captain experience with 200 hours night sailing. Knowledge on navigation charts and computer positions, using standard navigation aids, such as compass, sextant, clock, radio fix, and navigation tables and the ability to steers vessel and operate electronic equipment, such as radio, sonic depth finder, and radar. 
•    Fluent in English.
