Your day to day
- Responsible for identifying and analyzing gaps between current data capabilities and desired business outcomes, documenting requirements for complex, cross-functional data projects.
- Perform analysis of data sources, data models, and ETL/ELT processes to design and propose effective data solutions. Develop alternative designs, advising on options, risks, costs, and impacts on the broader data ecosystem.
- Maintain expert knowledge of our data platform, with a deep technical understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and BigQuery.
- Maintain deep technical and architectural understanding of the data products, especially at points of interface with internal systems and processes.
- Responsible for collaborating with business partners and stakeholders to empower a data engineering team to produce technical solutions that address complex business needs.
- Effectively translate complex data concepts into a compelling business narrative for stakeholders, and conversely, translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for the engineering team.
- Create and validate data quality test scripts and user acceptance testing scenarios, working closely with data quality and business teams.
- Create and prioritize Features and User Stories, conveying the vision and requirements for our data products to the development team.
What we need from you
- Advanced knowledge of product ownership within a data engineering context and a proficient understanding of modern data architecture, systems, and processes.
- Strong proficiency with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
- Expertise in SQL for complex data analysis and a strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT concepts.
- Ability to understand highly complex data and technical problems and build scalable, cross-functional solutions.
- Ability to strategically demonstrate analytical and conceptual skills needed to develop efficient and effective solutions for a variety of complex business problems.
- Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to craft a clear narrative that translates technical information into business-friendly language and distills business needs into technical requirements.
- Ability to collaborate with Technical SMEs to deliver large, cross-functional data projects and initiatives.
- Experience working in Agile or, ideally, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.
- Demonstrated proficiency in writing and presenting User Stories and Features, creating the right level of supporting artifacts to enable team understanding.
- Proven experience working with cloud-based data platforms is required.
- SAFe PO/PM certification preferred.
- SAFe Agilist certification preferred.

Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in the ATLANTA office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary range for this role is $106,000 to $140,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K and other benefits to employees.
