We are seeking an experienced Talent Mobility professional, with strong tax expertise, to join our team supporting cross border talent movement across EMEA and the Americas.

In this role, you will lead regional mobility activity while acting as a key advisor on tax matters. You will partner closely with HR, Talent, Reward, Payroll, Finance, and business leaders to deliver a compliant, efficient, and forward-looking mobility programme that supports our evolving talent strategy.

This role combines technical expertise with strategic leadership, offering the opportunity to shape how mobility enables business growth, supports global talent movement, and evolves through technology and innovation.

What you will do

Lead regional mobility strategy and delivery

  • Own and execute the regional Talent Mobility strategy aligned to global mobility objectives and business priorities.

  • Serve as a regional subject matter expert across international assignments, relocations, remote work, and cross border employment models.

  • Act as a leading advisor across the full mobility lifecycle including pre assignment planning, assignment delivery, localisation, repatriation, and termination.

  • Provide oversight of regional mobility activity, balancing compliance, employee experience, cost, and operational effectiveness.

Provide technical leadership across tax and compliance

  • Advise on cross border tax implications including assignment structuring, tax equalisation, remote work arrangements, and emerging mobility models.

  • Interpret regulatory requirements across tax, immigration, social security, and employment frameworks, providing pragmatic guidance.

  • Assess and manage risks including permanent establishment considerations, payroll risks, and regulatory exposure.

  • Provide technical input into policy development and governance frameworks.

Act as a trusted advisor to the business

  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent teams, Reward, Payroll, Finance, and business leaders to support strategic talent moves.

  • Present clear, practical options and recommendations on complex mobility scenarios, enabling informed decision making.

  • Translate technical concepts into accessible guidance for non-specialist stakeholders.

  • Support senior and critical talent moves including leadership relocations.

Oversee compliance and governance

  • Ensure regional compliance with tax, social security, immigration, and employment requirements in line with policies and regulations.

  • Collaborate closely with Tax, Legal, Payroll, and Finance to manage corporate tax, permanent establishment, VAT, and payroll compliance implications.

  • Oversee tax reporting, filings, and documentation in collaboration with external advisors and internal partners.

  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and enquiries, ensuring timely resolution.

  • Monitor regulatory developments and emerging risks across the region.

Drive transformation and innovation

  • Support the evolution of mobility as part of the broader talent agenda.

  • Contribute to modernising policies, processes, and governance frameworks.

  • Embrace technology, data, and AI driven approaches to enhance efficiency, insights, and employee experience.

  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve service delivery.

What you bring

  • Experience in global mobility gained in either industry or professional services, with strong understanding of tax and compliance considerations.

  • Solid knowledge of cross border taxation including UK and US rules, with broader regional exposure beneficial.

  • Experience working across mobility disciplines including tax, immigration, social security, and compliance.

  • Ability to distil complex technical matters into clear options and practical recommendations for stakeholders.

  • Professional qualification such as ATT or equivalent experience, with CTA advantageous.

  • Strong judgement and ability to balance risk, compliance, and business needs.

  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision making.

  • Strategic mindset with interest in shaping the future of mobility, including leveraging technology and AI.

  • Collaborative approach and commitment to continuous improvement.

Why this role may suit you

  • Based at IHG’s HQ, playing a key role in shaping the ongoing transformation as mobility integrates more closely into the Talent agenda and builds into a future fit programme.

  • Opportunity to influence policy, strategy, and how mobility supports talent, workforce planning, and business growth.

  • Working in an environment that is modernising mobility through technology, data, and innovation.

  • Exposure to complex cross border scenarios across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with senior leadership.

  • Application of technical expertise in a commercial, decision-making environment with direct impact and visible outcomes.

This position is based in Windsor and offers a hybrid working model, requiring three days per week on site.
