Role Purpose
To deliver the Americas and Global Marketing/C&T Talent & Performance agenda and contribute to IHG’s global talent strategy. Working with HRBP’s and leaders to embed strong performance and talent practices that differentiates top talent, build strong talent pipelines and an inclusive culture
Key Accountabilities
- Support HRBP’s to manage the performance & talent cycle for Americas Corporate and Global Marketing/C&T
- Manage the development and implementation of Regional D&I plans and programs including regional D&I council, support of US Affirmative Action plans, and collaboration with Global Talent on global D&I work streams.
- Support regional talent boards and/or global talent boards as appropriate for Global Marketing and C&Tas appropriate; work with HRBP’s to strengthen the build plans for critical roles; ensure strong development plans and accelerated pathways for key talent
- Contribute to global projects as agreed with HRLT/Global Talent – e.g. building framework for how we develop talent pipeline & career proposition for Marketing
- Collaborate as part of the Global Talent & Diversity team, sharing insights and proposing initiatives to shape the IHG wide Talent and Diversity strategies.
- Support the development and implementation of global and regional corporate learning and leadership programs (e.g. 2X workouts, Global Learning Summits)
Key Skills & Experiences
Critical Expertise & Experience:
- Experience in talent/development role and/or experience as a HRBP in designing and delivering talent solutions
- Sound understanding of talent and performance frameworks and which levers to pull to strengthen talent pipeline
- Role model for ‘Build One Team’ - A strong relationship builder able to collaborate and influence
- Evidence of managing projects
- Analytical mindset – actively uses data to form insights and spot opportunities
- Practical outlook – high standards but has a strong 80/20 mindset and can deliver at pace
- Strong coach – able to share feedback and insights – not afraid to talk straight
- Hunger to continuously learn and understand best practice, latest thinking and build networks externally
