About this position
Responsible for general maintenance throughout the hotel.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
Directing daily engineering needs to ensure the right team is always on the right task
Creating a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests to enjoy
Maintaining preventative maintenance and supplies whilst minimizing waste and meeting our green initiatives
Being flexible to respond to ad-hoc duties where we have to unexpectedly pull together to get a task completed
Coordinating with other departments to minimize disruptions and support smooth hotel operations.
Overseeing repairs, replacements, and refurbishment projects
Ensuring all interior and exterior areas remain safe, clean, and fully operational, proactively identifying issues before they impact guest
What we need from you
At least 2-3 years of maintenance or repair work under your belt
A high school diploma or related vocational training
On top of building equipment and hand tools, you’ll have a working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventative maintenance procedures
A reasonable level of fitness as you’ll be on your feet most of the day, and will need to bend and kneel a lot
Great communication skills, you’ll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk to
Hotel experience is a plus
