What is the job?
As a Stores Supervisor, you will oversee the efficient operation of all hotel stores including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Engineering. You will ensure accurate inventory control, adherence to hygiene and safety standards, and timely availability of materials to support hotel operations in line with IHG brand standards.
Your day-to-day
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records across all store categories
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices for perishable and non-perishable items
- Conduct regular stock counts (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Monitor stock levels and raise purchase requisitions timely
- Prevent stock-outs and overstocking
- Ensure compliance with FSSAI and hygiene standards
Food Store Operations
- Monitor temperature controls (freezer, chiller, storage areas)
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Verify product quality, expiry, and storage conditions
- Coordinate with kitchen for smooth issuance and minimal wastage
Housekeeping Store Operations
- Manage linen, guest supplies, and cleaning materials
- Ensure controlled issuance and prevent misuse
- Track linen movement and maintain records
- Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals
Engineering Store Operations
- Maintain spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials
- Ensure availability of critical items
- Track and manage high-value inventory
- Coordinate with engineering team for maintenance requirements
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain GRNs, stock registers, and issue records
- Ensure all transactions are updated in inventory systems
- Support audits and maintain documentation
- Ensure adherence to IHG brand standards and SOPs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of store areas
Team Coordination
- Supervise store team and support departments
- Coordinate with Purchase, Kitchen, HK, and Engineering
- Train team members on inventory procedures
What we need from you
- Physically fit and able to handle material movement
- Ability to lift/push/pull heavy items when required
- Basic literacy, numeracy, and system handling skills
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate in any discipline (Hospitality preferred)
- 4–6 years of experience in stores/inventory management
- 2–3 years in hospitality environment preferred
- Knowledge of F&B stores, housekeeping, and engineering inventory
- Familiarity with inventory systems, audits, and stock control
Preferred:
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management
- Knowledge of FSSAI/HACCP standards
- Certification in inventory or materials management
