The Sr. Manager of Data Science is responsible for leading a team of data scientists and analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and direction to develop high-quality predictive and prescriptive analytical solutions related to guest predictive modeling, experimentation and optimization, advanced marketing measurement, or pricing 
optimization. These solutions will drive commercial performance, loyalty revenue, marketing ROI, and better customer outcomes. As a key member of the Data Science CoE in the GIAD (Global Insights, Analytics, and Data) organization, the Sr. Manager will work closely with the Loyalty & Guest Experience Analytics and Revenue & Channel Performance Analytics teams to turn data into actionable insights using advanced statistical, machine learning and data science techniques that inform strategic business decisions.

Your day to day

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for leveraging data science to drive business solutions.
  • Address complex business problems using predictive analytics, advanced measurements, data science, and visualization techniques to drive insight and data-driven decision making.
  • Develop and publish comprehensive guidelines and best practices for model development, model deployment, experimental design, marketing measurement, or pricing optimization.
  • Communicate complex quantitative analyses in a clear, precise, and actionable manner to senior executives and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Guide and mentor junior resources in development of business knowledge and technical skills.

What we need from you

  • Proven experience in the field of predictive analytics, data science, experimentation and optimization, advanced marketing measurement (Marketing Mix Modeling, Multi-Touch Attribution), or pricing optimization.
  • Excellent knowledge of Machine Learning techniques and algorithms, incrementality measurement, or causal inference.
  • Excellent understanding of data architecture, data platforms, and data processing frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and collaborative skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex data/analyses in a simple, actionable way.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or a closely related quantitative field with 7 or more years of progressive work experience in analytics; or Master degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics or a related field with 6 or more years of progressive work experience in analytics
