About the role
As a Spa Trainer, you will educate and coach our spa teams in LivNordic’s brand, values, treatments, service standards, retail philosophy, and guest experience. You will work closely with the Training Manager, Training Coordinator, and onboard Spa Managers to ensure consistency and excellence across the fleet.
The role involves extensive travel onboard our ships, which sail worldwide. You will be part of a small, dynamic, and supportive team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility, adaptability, and a passion for learning and development are essential for success in this role.
Your day-to-day
- Reporting to the Training Manager, you will deliver exceptional training and support spa teams across multiple locations globally
- Deliver training across treatments, reception, retail, service, and operations
- Coach onboard teams to enhance performance and guest experience
- Monitor treatment quality, hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation standards
- Provide hands-on training in: treatment delivery and service excellence, spa menu immersion and product knowledge and retail displays
- Conduct evaluations, create development plans, and support quality management
- Support pre-openings to embed SOPs, training materials, and standards
- Partner with Spa Managers to identify training needs and improve operations
- Contribute to training materials, SOPs, and process improvements
What we’re looking for
- Beauty therapist qualification equivalent to: CIDESCO, ITEC
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience in public speaking and presentations
- Flexibility to travel extensively, with international travel requirements of approximately 70–80%
- Previous shipboard experience or 5-star hotel is required
- Completed a contract with LivNordic onboard Viking Cruises - highly desirable
- Previous experience in teaching, training, pre-opening, or similar would be an advantage
