We’re searching for a Sous Chef to support our kitchen operations and assist in delivering high-quality cuisine, efficient operations, and exceptional culinary standards across our dining outlets and banquet operations.

We’re searching for a Banquet Sous Chef to support our culinary operations and lead the preparation and execution of high-quality banquet and event dining experiences at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk.

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
● Supporting the Executive Chef in managing the daily banquet kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient event execution
● Supervising culinary colleagues during banquet functions and ensuring food preparation, presentation, and quality consistently meet hotel standards
● Assisting with banquet menu planning, buffet presentations, and customized event requirements based on guest needs and operational demands
● Coordinating closely with Banquet Operations, Stewarding, and Food & Beverage teams to ensure seamless event service delivery
● Monitoring food quality, portion control, inventory, and food costs to maintain operational efficiency and minimize waste
● Ensuring all banquet kitchen operations comply with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards
● Supporting recruitment, training, coaching, and development of banquet culinary colleagues
● Assisting in maintaining banquet kitchen equipment and workspaces in a clean, organized, and safe condition

What We need from you:

● Diploma or higher education qualification in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or related field preferred
● Minimum 5–7 years of culinary experience within hotel banquet or large-scale catering operations, including supervisory experience preferred
● Strong knowledge of banquet kitchen operations, food preparation, and large-volume catering execution
● Ability to lead and motivate teams in a fast-paced hospitality environment
● Good communication, organizational, and time management skills
● Creativity and passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences for events and banquets
● Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards as required by local regulations
