Duties and Responsibilities
As Ski butler, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and offer assistance with their ski or snowboard equipment.
Ensure all ski and snowboard gear is properly labeled, stored, and managed for easy access and prompt delivery.
Prepare guests' ski or snowboard equipment for daily use, including drying, warming, and placement near the guest’s accommodation or transport.
Offer boot warming and fitting assistance with professional care and attention to guest comfort.
Provide equipment cleaning, drying, and light maintenance service (minor repairs or liaison with ski rental/repair partners).
Coordinate with ski rental shops to ensure timely delivery, pick-up, and replacement of rental gear as required.
Be familiar with different types of ski and snowboard equipment and their specific handling and storage requirements.
Check equipment daily to ensure it is in top condition and notify guests if anything requires repair or attention.
Assist with gear transportation for lessons, excursions, or heli-skiing trips.
Offer ski-in/ski-out service where applicable, ensuring equipment is ready and waiting at the appropriate location.
Offer warm beverages, small amenities or snacks as part of the experience when guests return from the slopes.
Maintain inventory of all stored items and update records accurately and regularly.
Ensure ski storage area is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
Deliver exceptional service by anticipating guest needs and exceeding expectations through personalization.
Work closely with GEMs and other departments to coordinate guest schedules and ski-related activities.
Provide updates on mountain weather, lift conditions, and slope status when applicable.
Handle guest feedback graciously and ensure all follow-up actions are taken promptly.
Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming, and hygiene.
Uphold safety and security procedures, especially around equipment handling and guest interaction in winter conditions.
Ensure guest privacy and sensitive data confidentiality in all situations.
Attend meetings and training as required and stay informed about mountain safety, equipment trends, and resort activities.
Perform any additional tasks given by supervisor or management.
Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded.
Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Ski Butler, I have the required qualifications, technical skills, and experience in a similar or related role within luxury hospitality or ski resort operations. Experience with ski or snowboard equipment handling is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of winter sports and mountain environments is essential. Basic knowledge of ski and snowboard gear, including fitting, maintenance, and guest comfort considerations, is required. A background in guest services, outdoor adventure, or ski concierge is advantageous.
