About the Role
As the Senior Manager, you will provide strategic leadership and operational excellence for your department while driving business performance, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. You will work closely with hotel leadership to achieve financial goals, maintain IHG brand standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Your Day-to-Day
Financial Returns
- Develop and execute departmental business plans aligned with hotel objectives.
- Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Monitor productivity, expenses, and revenue opportunities.
- Identify initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Support the achievement of hotel financial and commercial targets.
People
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop managers and colleagues.
- Drive colleague engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and development discussions.
- Foster a culture that reflects IHG's Winning Ways and values.
Guest Experience
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences consistent with IHG Brand Standards.
- Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Build strong relationships with key clients, owners, and business partners.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless hotel operations.
- Drive guest satisfaction and continuous service improvement.
Responsible Business
- Ensure compliance with IHG policies, brand standards, and statutory requirements.
- Promote health, safety, security, and sustainability initiatives.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Protect hotel assets and confidential information.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by hotel leadership.
What We Need From You
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
- MBA or Postgraduate qualification is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in hospitality, hotels, or service industries is preferred.
- Prior experience with IHG Hotels & Resorts or another international hotel brand is an advantage.
Skills
