Security and Risk Manager

A little taste of your day-to-day: 

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Direct day-to-day activities, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance, and recognize good performance.
• Perform leadership training for all senior security personnel.
• Ensure all security personnel as well as hotel’s staff are adhering to P&P and security procedures.
• Maintain good communication and work relationships in all areas of the hotel.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of all security personnel, engage in the implementation of safety and security procedures for the department, and provide assistance and advice to other departments in relation to security.
• Training and development of supervisors and associates within the department towards the promise of “Room to Grow”.

• Plan, deliver and facilitate regular staff awareness training

   

• Interact with guests and individuals outside the hotel, including, but not limited to, current and potential clients, owning company representatives, community leaders, government officials, travel industry representatives, suppliers, competitors and other members of the local community.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with owners’ policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 
   

What We need from you: 
 

• Bachelor's degree preferably Criminology or related course

• With minimum 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in hospitality industry

• Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

• Proven expertise in safety and security management

• Demonstrated leadership abilities
