Job Status and Requirements:
  1. Must be able to work on Guam, USA without restrictions:
    1. US Citizens or US Permanent Residents
    2. Residents of Federated States of Micronesia (FSM)
  2. This is entry level Management position, not eligible for:
    1. Relocation Package
    2. to be US Work Visa Sponsor
  3. Must be flexible to work all required shifts
  4. Must be able to work on Weekends and Holidays
  5. Non-exempt Salary position, $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 per annum.

People

·        Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.

·        Recommend or initiate any HR related actions where needed.

·        Cooperates, coordinates and communicates with Department Heads and other inter-departmental secretaries as appropriate.

 

Financial

·        Achieve all personal sales goals and maximise profitability.

·        Help create the department’s annual budget and the setting of segment goals.

·        Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume for Military & Government related Individual bookings and Groups, also food and beverage and banquet sales.

·        Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyse current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plans.

·        Coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. This includes Day-to-day sales activities, Business rapport creation and management, On/Offline advertising and sales promotions, partnership, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, etc

·        Optimize the seasonal/occasional Revenue maximization opportunities such as Regular/Annual Military exercises and/or occasional Military ships-in to Guam.

 

Guest Experience

·        Deliver Crowne Plaza Brand Promise and Service Signatures in your daily work.

·        Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and outside contacts in order to produce group and/or convention business, to include room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services

·        Help guests - you’ll be happy to help if someone needs assistance with a request or complaint

·        Provide guests with information (example: loyalty programmes, area attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance guest experience.

·        Schedule conventions and/or business group activities at the resort and coordinate with other resort-level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.

Responsible Business      

·        Raise the awareness and reputation of your hotel and the brand locally.

·        Identify improvements to marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance and work with other departments.

·        Be responsible in keeping the property safe and secure, to participate in any resort activity related to Fire Life safety.

·        Perform other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments which may be assigned by management when we have to pull together to get a task done.

What we need from you

1.      Education - Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification.

2.      Service years - Two or more years of experience in a hospitality or resort sales and/or experience at Military/Government accommodation and leisure related administrative works.

3.      Knowledge and skills

·        Strong knowledge of Military & Government accommodation & leisure related businesses and trends required.

·        Understanding of the Military & Government booking systems such as CLAS, GDS, BTAs

·        Strong business rapport with Guam based military units, USO and/or any related advertising channels.

·        Good Communication and writing skills, Strong negotiation skill

·        Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the resort, the brand and the Company.

·        Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.

·        Tasks and Project Management Skills

4.      Language

  • Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)
  • Other languages such as Chinese, Korean and Japanese preferred
