Duties and Responsibilities
As Sales Manager, I will manage the efficient operation of my department to provide exceptional products and services within Six Senses brand operating standards and budget.
I will work strategically with the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop cohesive and productive goals for my department and establish procedures/guidelines to achieve them. I will maintain an overall consistency of the Company’s vision, quality/standards and develop concepts consistent with brand identity.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
- ·Keep abreast of industry trends and practices and update knowledge and skills to improve the product and service offering.
- Processes will be constantly assessed and reviewed to remain relevant, innovative and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
- Support and review services, products and rates to remain relevant and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
- Lead a team of engaged and experienced hosts to provide the Six Senses exceptional standards of operation and service.
- Support the efficient operation of the Sales & Marketing department.
- Have a thorough knowledge of all facilities and services offered by the property including type of rooms available as well as their location and layout, selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans, credit policy of the hotel and reservation coding.
- Drive the right business at the right price to ensure the property achieves budgeted occupancy, rate and revenue.
- Support the implementation of the marketing plan, contracting, setting sales targets by segment and by client and prospect.
- Support advertising, sales, promotions and publicity initiatives and working with the revenue manager for setting rates and guiding the sales and marketing team.
- Continually focus on revenue generation and profile building for our property and for Six Senses. Marketing strategies and tactics will be constantly assessed to remain relevant and effective.
- Implement, review and maintain documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards.
Qualifications
To execute the position of Sales Manager, I have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results. I possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Hotel or Business Management and more than five years’ experience in a senior sales and marketing role.
Technical skills include Advanced MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I am also familiar with various hotel systems including PMS and CRM platforms. I have an excellent command of written and spoken English with some knowledge of the local language and customs.
