Behind every smooth check-in is a master of precision. We’re looking for a Rooms Controller who can balance the puzzle of room allocations, anticipate guest needs before they arrive, and ensure every stay begins and ends flawlessly.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Verify and adjust group billing and PM accounts, process payments, and ensure accuracy in records.
- Assign rooms according to guest preferences and requests, balancing availability and operational needs.
- Monitor and manage room inventory, handling early arrivals, late check-outs, and room changes efficiently.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room readiness and report cleanliness or maintenance issues.
- Review daily reports, group resumes, and guest arrival details to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Sales to align room status and guest requests.
- Handle duplicate reservations, market codes, and rate discrepancies, ensuring accuracy in the system.
- Maintain professionalism, clear communication, and confidentiality at all times.
What We need from you:
- At least 1–2 years of experience in Front Office or Reservations, preferably in a luxury or resort environment.
- Strong knowledge of PMS (Opera Cloud or similar) and reservation management processes.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and handle pressure during high occupancy periods.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across departments.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for delivering great guest experiences.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
