Managing Consumer and Corporate Media & PR Opportunities
Responsible for managing consumer and corporate media and PR opportunities for the organization at the hotel level, while also supporting local media and PR initiatives across other IHG hotels or regions.

Media Strategy
Responsible for further developing, implementing, and refining the organization’s media strategy. This includes building media relations, identifying media opportunities, anticipating challenges, and coordinating responses.

Media Handling
Serve as the first point of contact for media inquiries, liaising with key staff to ensure journalists receive statements or interviews as appropriate.

Press, TV & Radio Interviews
When appropriate, undertake press, TV, and radio interviews and identify the relevant staff to comment and participate in interviews.

Briefing & Training
Arrange and deliver media training for key staff within the Marketing department. Train and prepare identified staff for key media opportunities, situations, or crisis management.

Crisis Management
Work closely with an identified team to develop media plans for handling crises that may arise.

Media Partnerships
Develop media partner proposals for major and key events and opportunities.

Public Relations Events
Organize media launches and photo opportunities to maximize public relations for service openings, report launches, fundraising events, conferences, AGMs, and more—ensuring they are newsworthy.

Celebrities
Recruit and manage celebrity contacts.

Media Contacts
Maintain a comprehensive list of international and local media contacts, with a particular focus on F&B media.

Account Management
Manage assigned accounts according to the media account management system.

Vendor & Agency Management
Manage external vendors and media agencies, working with agency partners to identify strategic media buys for hotels.

Brand Team Liaison
Liaise with the IHG Brand Team’s PR leadership to ensure media placements for hotels align with the overall hotel marketing strategy.

Consulting Resource
Act as a consulting resource for property marketing teams looking for regional photographers for food, amenity, and property imagery, ensuring all photography aligns with brand voice.

Internal Communications
Support the internal communications needs of the Communications & Marketing team.

Social Media
Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to support the resort’s growing social media presence by supplying content and aligning with traditional media activity.

Strategic Objectives
Support the Communications & Marketing team in delivering against strategic objectives.
