We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Public Area Supervisor to lead the cleaning and maintenance operations of all public spaces within the property. This role ensures that lobbies, hallways, restrooms, meeting rooms, and other public areas are consistently clean, well-maintained, and welcoming for all guests and visitors. The ideal candidate is organized, quality-focused, and capable of managing a team effectively.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning and upkeep of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, elevators, and back-of-house areas.
- Assign duties and inspect the work of public area attendants to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Conduct regular inspections of public spaces to identify maintenance or cleanliness issues and take corrective action.
- Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies, maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
- Train, coach, and support team members on cleaning procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, cleaning schedules, supply usage, and team performance.
- Communicate effectively with other departments such as Engineering and Front Office to coordinate tasks and resolve issues promptly.
- Respond to guest concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner, ensuring satisfaction.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
- Ensure all public area staff comply with health, safety, and company policies.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or hospitality certification is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in housekeeping or custodial services, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, housekeeping management systems).
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and stand/walk for extended periods.
