Porter
Your day to day
As a Porter, you’re often the very first impression of the hotel. You’ll welcome guests with warmth, assist with luggage, provide valet parking and offer directions or support as needed. You help set the tone for the entire stay with professional, efficient and friendly service.
- Provide warm welcomes and sincere farewells to all guests.
- Assist with luggage and escort guests to their rooms.
- Support valet parking operations safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and polished lobby environment.
- Recognise guest preferences and help action guest feedback promptly.
- Respond to requests quickly and professionally.
- Uphold IHG policies, WH&S standards and hotel procedures.
What we need from you
- Ability to safely lift, carry and move guest luggage (up to 23kg) in line with manual‑handling guidelines.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts including nights/weekends.
- Confidence in guest interaction and a welcoming demeanor.
- Valid Tasmanian Driver’s Licence (or transferrable interstate/overseas). Automatic-only is acceptable, manual preferred for full valet capability.
- RSA – valid in Tasmania (preferred).
- Based in Hobart. Will consider applicants looking to relocate from other states.
Club Lounge Attendant
Your day to day
As a Club Lounge Attendant, you’ll deliver elevated service to our VIP and IHG One Rewards elite guests. You’ll curate personalised experiences, host Food & Beverage service in our exclusive lounge on the top floor and share insider tips on Hobart to enhance each guest’s stay.
- Create a genuine, personalised welcome for VIP guests.
- Assist with check-ins, check-outs and guest account queries.
- Host Food & Beverage service including breakfast, canapés and drinks.
- Build rapport with guests, tour operators and internal teams.
- Share insights on Hobart attractions, history and experiences.
- Support guest enquiries and action feedback to ensure exceptional stays.
- Maintain the lounge environment and ensure all service areas are fully stocked.
- Uphold IHG policies, WH&S standards and hotel procedures.
What we need from you
- Previous experience in Food & Beverage or Guest Services (essential).
- Opera PMS knowledge (preferred).
- Qualifications in Hotel Management and/or Food & Beverage are highly regarded.
- Excellent communication skills and high service standards. Bilingual or multilingual language skills are advantageous.
- Flexibility to work rostered shifts including nights/weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and guest focused environment.
- RSA – valid in Tasmania.
- Based in Hobart. Will consider applicants looking to relocate from other states.
