What’s the job? 
 

As a Painter you are responsible for all decoration maintenance repair works related to the fabric of the hotel building e.g. wall papering, painting and decorating. Promote the desired work culture by living the 5 winning ways value – Do the Right thing, Show we care, Aim Higher, Celebrate Difference, Work better together. 

Your day-to-day

• Carry out all preparation works and decorate all ceilings and walls within the property

• Prepare and decorate all woodwork e.g. doors, architrave’s, window and skirting boards

• Strip and prepare all walls to take new wall paper as and when instructed to do so

• Repair and maintain existing wall coverings

• Carry out preventive maintenance schedules for all decorating jobs as directed by your superiors.

• Clean up and store paint and painting tools and equipment in appropriate areas.

• Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary, to avoid injury.

• Coordinate with the vendor in order to modify colours of paint, stain, or varnish.

• Take care of the area when the front of the house area-painting job is being carried out.

• Responsible for maintaining property colour scheme specifications.

• Responsible for maintaining and match shades of particular areas.

• Apply primers or sealers to prepare new surfaces, such as bare wood or metal, for finish coats.
