Operations Manager - Holiday Inn Express Singapore Serangoon

Duties & Responsibilities

•    Oversee all operations including rooms, food and beverage, housekeeping, engineering, outsourced services such as laundry operations, engineering & building services, and security services.
•    Monitor vendor performance, service standards, billing accuracy, contract compliance, and quality of outsourced functions.
•    Ensure compliance with IHG brand standards, sustainability requirements, and operational procedures.
•    Serve as the hotel's Sustainability Champion and lead sustainability initiatives across all departments.
•    Create and execute sustainability strategies and action plans aligned with corporate sustainability goals and regulatory requirements.
•    Develop and deliver training programs to educate colleagues on sustainability practices, compliance standards, and operational procedures.
•    Oversee sustainability projects including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and resource management initiatives.
•    Conduct monthly sustainability meetings with Department Leaders to review progress and ensure compliance.
•    Monitor sustainability metrics and prepare reports and presentations for Management.
•    Ensure all risk management and sustainability programs comply with environmental regulations and industry standards.
•    Develop, review, and maintain sustainability policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
•    Maintain all required hotel licences and statutory compliance requirements, including Occupation Certificate, Liquor Licence compliance, and other regulatory approvals.
•    Collaborate with hotel departments, outsourced service providers, regulatory authorities, and external partners to ensure operational excellence.
•    Conduct regular operational reviews and inspections to ensure service quality and brand standards are maintained.
•    Support the General Manager in implementing operational initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement programmes.
•    Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, cost management, sustainability performance, and guest satisfaction.
•    Maintain accurate operational records, compliance documentation, and monthly reporting requirements.
•    Take ownership of daily operational activities and maximise productivity through effective planning and execution.


What we're looking for

•    Minimum 3 years' experience in an operations management role within the hospitality industry.
•    Strong knowledge of hotel operations including housekeeping, engineering, security, and guest services.
•    Experience managing outsourced service providers and contractor relationships.
•    Knowledge of sustainability initiatives, environmental compliance, and ESG practices will be an advantage.
•    Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
•    Excellent organisational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting.
•    Strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and operational controls.
•    Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
