Be part of a landmark hotel opening in one of Victoria’s most exciting waterfront destinations!

In partnership with Plenary Group, IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) is bringing its world-class Crowne Plaza brand to the Victorian regional city of Geelong. Scheduled to open in 2026, Crowne Plaza Geelong will redefine premium accommodation, offering a sophisticated stay for both leisure and corporate travellers. It will form part of the highly anticipated Nyaal Banyul Geelong Convention and Exhibition Centre precinct, a transformative development featuring a 1,000-seat convention centre, exhibition spaces, and a vibrant retail and hospitality hub. Located in the heart of the emerging precinct, this 200-room hotel will feature spacious suites, an extensive restaurant and bar offering, pool, gym, and meeting facilities.

As part of our pre-opening leadership team, we're searching for an experienced and hands-on Night Manager to help shape and lead the overnight operations of this exciting hotel from the ground up.

As Night Manager, you'll play a critical role in ensuring smooth overnight operations while contributing to the broader success of our front office team in a pre-opening environment. You will:

  • Be responsible for the hotel’s overnight operations, acting as the senior leader on duty and first point of contact for guests after hours.
  • Lead the overnight process and ensure daily financial reporting and reconciliation is completed accurately and in line with IHG standards.
  • Support pre-opening activities such as the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), recruitment and training of the night team, and systems testing.
  • Manage the night team, including guest services agents and public area attendants, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and security.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as housekeeping, maintenance, and food & beverage to resolve guest issues and maintain operational continuity.
  • Uphold health, safety, and security protocols during the overnight shift, ensuring guest and team member wellbeing.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and emergency situations with professionalism and a calm demeanour.
  • Monitor occupancy, arrivals, departures, and room allocations for late check-ins or early check-outs.

What we need from you

Previous experience as a Night Manager, Night Auditor, or similar front office leadership role in a hotel environment (pre-opening experience highly regarded).

  • Strong knowledge of PMS systems (e.g., Opera Cloud) and night audit processes.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure during overnight shifts.
  • A passion for creating memorable guest experiences and contributing to a supportive team culture.
  • Full Australian working rights and flexibility to work overnight, weekends, and public holidays as required.
