What is the job?

As a Multi Skill Technician, you will support the Engineering team in maintaining hotel facilities, guest rooms and equipment to ensure safe, efficient and uninterrupted operations in line with IHG standards.

You will ensure all maintenance activities are completed promptly and professionally, helping deliver a seamless guest experience.

Your day to day

People

• Work collaboratively with the Engineering team and other departments.
• Communicate maintenance updates clearly with Front Office and Housekeeping.
• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.

Guest Experience

• Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure guest rooms and public areas are fully functional and safe.
• Maintain a professional appearance and courteous behavior when interacting with guests.

Operational

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Carry out daily plant room inspections and equipment checks.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance work.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are used and stored safely.

Financial

• Support cost control initiatives by minimizing wastage.
• Ensure proper handling of materials and spare parts.
• Assist in inventory management of engineering supplies.

Responsible Business

• Follow all safety, fire and life safety procedures.
• Comply with IHG engineering standards and local regulations.
• Maintain energy conservation practices.
• Support sustainability initiatives and environmental compliance.

Accountabilities

• Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Maintain guest room functionality and equipment reliability.
• Support preventive maintenance programs.
• Adhere to health, safety and compliance standards.

What we need from you

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of maintenance experience in hotel, commercial building or facility management.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC and general repairs.
• Ability to work in shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Basic communication skills in English and local language.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
