Mechanic - Six Senses Kanuhura

Duties and Responsibilities 
As Mechanic, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following: 
•    Fit new parts and make sure the equipment is working correctly. 
•    Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer and materials. 
•    Maintenance and repairing of vehicles which are used in the resort, Buggy, Marine engines, Pickup and any other vehicle which is a part of the resort asset
•    In depth practical knowledge on battery buggy controls and accessories. 
•    Familiar with all outboard and inboard marine engines. 
•    Develop mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements. 
•    Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; test finished product and system capabilities; confirm fabrication, assembly, and installation processes. 
•    Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment and ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns. 
•    Knowledge and practical experience on welding and metal fabrication.
•    Keep record of assignments and produce detailed work reports. 
•    Maintain the working area and make sure that all working areas always remain clean. 
•    Use personal safety wares for personal safety while on duty
•    Remain well-mannered and well-groomed as per department and always company standards.
•    Follow health and safety standards and strive for constant improvement to avoid health and injury hazards.
•    Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene.
•    Knowledge of all safety, security and emergency procedures related to my position in line with brand and statutory requirements.
•    Ensure the privacy of guests, partners and residential owners, I will apply an extra level of protection to any sensitive personal data and use confidential information only to perform my job.
•    Ensure all equipment of the department is kept clean and in good working condition.
•    Upsell all property facilities and activities.
•    Attend meetings and training as required.
•    Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards.
•    Perform any additional tasks given to me by supervisor/management.

Qualifications
To execute the position of Mechanic, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

•    High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year experience in a similar setting. 
•    Technical skills include the ability to analyze and design projects of limited complexity and scope. Paint application for various paint, varnish, and stain knowledge to interior and/or exterior surfaces as well as removal including spray painting.  Basic mechanical skills are mandatory. 
•    Fluent in English;
