What is the job?
As the Marketing Executive for InterContinental Hayman Great Barrier Reef, you’ll play a vital role in the growth and long-term success of the resort and the overarching brand in the market through the support and execution of integrated B2C and B2B marketing initiatives and strategies. Reporting to the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager, this role will support the day-to-day execution of key marketing activities and provide on-property marketing assistance to achieve both marketing and brand objectives through a strong commitment to execution excellence.
You will also assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of marketing campaigns designed to drive revenue, enhance brand awareness, and improve guest engagement. This position requires a creative, detail-oriented individual with strong organisational and communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of marketing.
Your day to day
- Implement integrated marketing strategies aligned with the hotel's objectives to drive brand awareness and revenue growth.
- Oversee and manage the hotel's online presence on IHG brand and hotel websites and apps, third-party websites and social media channels, including content audits, copywriting and overall functionality.
- Support the Digital Marketing & Communications Manager with B2C and B2B campaigns for the Resort as required.
- Monitor and measure the success of the marketing calendar, campaigns and activations on the island, sharing results and learnings with the marketing team and key stakeholders and integrating into future marketing initiatives to drive strong performance in future. Report as required on marketing activities, and share best practices.
- Own and manage on-property marketing touchpoints and collateral to support operational and guest experience needs, including digital signage, in-room TV content, menus, and promotional materials.
- Conduct regular brand audits to ensure consistency in branding and messaging, updating materials as needed to meet evolving brand guidelines.
What we need from you
- Bachelor of Marketing, business or related field
- Two years experience working in marketing (hospitality industry advantageous)
- Demonstrated project management experience in organising, planning and executing projects from conception through to implementation
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach with a drive for results and a track record of achievement
- Resourceful with the ability to work autonomously while being a skilful team player
