  2. Non-Exempt Hourly Position.
  3. Full Time status, must be able to work flexible shifts include weekends and holidays.

What’s the job?

As a Marketing Coordinator / Graphic Designer, you’ll accomplish all graphic design for the purposes of the Marketing Section as well as other Departments in the resort. You’ll support in the delivery of all aspects of Sales & Marketing and Communications for the Crowne Plaza Resort Guam. Your responsibilities include assisting in the development and execution of promotions and special events, liaising with vendors and partners, working closely with local media (radio, print, outdoor and online), supporting in the development and execution of the Resorts social and environmental plan and supporting the Resorts digital agency with creating engaging content and storytelling. You’ll also assist with sales and marketing reporting and routine interaction with the Area Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Sales and Marketing, Cluster Marketing Manager and other stakeholders.
 

Your-day-to-day

 

•    Deliver Crowne Plaza Brand Promise and Service Signatures to daily work.
•    Responsible for the in-house point-of-sale materials such as monthly promotional posters, banners, and       leaflets derived from fact sheets of the respective F&B outlets, and ad-hoc announcement posters. 
•    Execute jobs from briefs in the form of Job Order, generated from Director of Marketing and                        Communication.
•    In the event that the Graphic Designer, be briefed directly by any department personnel (in the absence      of Director of Marketing and Communication), they would keep the Director informed. This is to ensure         a smooth flow of work within the MarCom Team as deadlines must be drawn in respect to the urgency         of each individual job.
•    Maintain collateral and conduct occasional audit.
•    Co-ordinate generic IHG merchandise and resort brand.
•    Co-ordinate resort brand standards collateral. 
•    Proof read copy of advertising, collateral and press releases where appropriate.
•    Assist with brand standards policing.
•    Work in line with business needs.
•    Work on the concept and execution for the design of any job.
•    Liaise with Purchasing Department to brief suppliers for production when approval is obtained from all         concerned parties for layout and copy.
•    Be responsible in keeping our property safe and secure, to participate in any hotel activity related to Fire       Life safety.
•    Perform other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments which may be assigned by management when we         have to pull together to get a task done.

•    Support in organize and promoting special events, collaborations, partnerships, competitions, parties,          gastronomic festivities, tec.

•    Maintain good communication with the team across all departments, functions and other owner                   business units.
•    Be responsible in keeping the property safe and secure, to participate in any resort activity related to             Fire Life safety.

•    Champion environmental and sustainability initiatives of the resorts.
 

What we need from you

1.    Education
       High School Diploma

2.    Service years 
       Two (2) years of similar positions or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.              Marketing/Media related experience in Hotel Industry is preferred.

3.    Knowledge and skills

•    Knowledge of local businesses and the Guam Hotel market
•    Good Communication and writing skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the         resort, the brand and the Company.
•    Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities.
•    Tasks and Project Management Skills
•    Strong team work and flexibility

4.    Language
       Fluent in English (speaking, listening, reading and writing)


5.    Preferred (if required)
•    Frequently standing and moving about the facilities.
•    Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds
•    Handling products, objects, or equipment
•    Communicating with staff and management
