IHG is seeking a Marketing Analytics Manager to help our marketing organization understand and improve the effectiveness of our owned media channels. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills, media channel knowledge, and clear communication to measure the impact of our marketing tactics, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the development of our owned media test-and-learn optimization strategy. You will work closely with our Analytics and Marketing teams to deliver insights that drive smarter decision-making and enhance the performance of our owned media efforts.
Your day to day
- Apply analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and curiosity to drive change, identifying opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness across owned channels.
- Develop and deliver data-driven insights through complex data extraction, joins, and analysis using SQL (GCP BigQuery), Excel, BI tools (Looker, Power BI, Tableau), and web analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
- Maintain relationships with Global Marketing Shared Services and develop a strong working knowledge of all of the business functional area‘s objectives in order to ensure accurate translation of stakeholder requirements into technical specifications, reporting and analysis.
- Establish project plans that outline project milestones for different Business Analytics projects. Convene cross-functional teams to deliver projects
- Apply analytical techniques to one or more disciplines. May perform statistical analyses and create accurate charts, tables and graphs in the correct format and within established time frames as required. Select and use appropriate software to effectively analyze data. Compile and analyze information. Effectively communicate findings and recommendations to appropriate staff.
What we need from you
- Demonstrated computing and database reporting skills.
- Demonstrated programming experience with statistical and database software (BigQuery SQL, SAS, R, Business Objects).
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel functionality.
- Demonstrated experience in a decision-support and data warehousing environment.
- Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects
- Demonstrated understanding of business analysis processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of stakeholder’s processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hotel operations and the hotel industry, and demonstrated ability to access relevant information and understand the competitive market.
- Demonstrates clear, concise, and succinct communication skills, including adapting both technical verbal and written communication to the needs and level of the user.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree with a concentration in Statistics, Mathematics , Operations Research, Marketing or other related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
- 5 years progressive work related experience working within a business intelligence team and with relational decision-support databases and analytical consulting with demonstrated proficiency and understanding in one or more functions related to the position, preferably in a management position
Location - Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary range for this role is $58,844 to $105,000. This role is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
