Duties and Responsibilities 
As Marine Biologist, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following: 
•    Designing and implementing ecological research projects
•    Planning research activities alongside operational or guest-facing programmes
•    Conduct underwater ecological survey methodologies
•    Data management and maintaining structured datasets
•    Statistical analysis using software such as R or Python
•    Scientific writing and report preparation
•    Lead guided snorkeling and marine discovery tours
•    Deliver educational presentations and workshops
•    Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation. My performance benchmarks are maintained and exceeded. 
•    Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments. 
Qualifications
To execute the position of Marine Biologist, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
Academic Qualifications
•    Master’s degree in marine biology, Marine Ecology, Environmental Science, or a closely related field (strongly preferred).
•    Minimum bachelor’s degree in marine biology, Biology, or related discipline.
Diving Certification
•    Minimum Rescue Diver certification (or equivalent).
•    Comfortable conducting ecological surveys underwater.
Technical Experience & Knowledge
The candidate should demonstrate strong technical competence across research, spatial analysis, and scientific communication:
•    Excellent knowledge of tropical marine ecosystems, particularly:
      Coral reef ecology
      Seagrass meadow ecology
•    Demonstrable experience using QGIS for:
      Spatial analysis
      Habitat mapping
      Processing drone-derived orthomosaics
      Producing publication-ready or report-ready spatial outputs
•    Competence in graphic design and data visualisation, including:
      Producing clear scientific figures
      Creating professional presentation slides
      Designing infographics or visual outputs for communication purposes
