Your day to day
• Undertake new engineering projects in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau to include design and documentation review, inspections and reporting to ensure high quality, safe designs consistent with the strategy of HG brands and compliance with IHG standards.
• Prepare/approve Property Improvement Plans (PIP) for conversion and contract renewal projects in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau to include on-site evaluations, technical assistance to owners and consultants to ensure compliance with IHG standards and cost/operational efficiency.
• Provide technical input, advice and support for the ongoing development and improvement of the IHG Engineering Standards.
• Review and develop designs to ensure they are operational and cost-efficient. Carry out cost to build practice in the projects.
• Implementation of IHG Green Engage program including ECMs (Energy Conservation Measures) in new and existing hotels.
• Measure MEP consultant performance, use the Consultant Management Platform to monitor the ongoing projects, take part in the process of consultant entering and exiting from the list.
What we need from you
• Bachelor’s degree of HVAC, Electrical, Water Supply-Drainage or Building Automation is preferred.
• Typically, 8 years or more experience in MEP design, construction, project management of hospitality buildings, strong knowledge of architectural MEP principles and systems and understanding of applicable laws.
• Flexible interpersonal style; effective communication and design management skills; strong influencing skills, ability to handle complicated and difficult engineering issues.
• Experience in a multi-national company and ability to survive in a competing environment
