We have a brand-new opportunity for a Manager, Safety & Security, to join our Business Reputation & Responsibility function and contribute to the continued effectiveness of IHG’s safety and security risk management framework across the Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia (EMEAA) region.
This is an exciting and highly visible role where you’ll not only help shape the way we deliver safety and security strategies but also lead the creation and delivery of engaging content, from training materials and learning resources to toolkits and policy reviews. With the freedom to make this opportunity your own, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our hotels and colleagues across EMEAA are equipped with the very best knowledge and guidance.
Working alongside our Global Director for Brand Safety Standards, you’ll partner closely with regional Safety & Security Directors, engaging directly with hotels, driving improvements that benefit operations across the region, and providing responsive, specialist support when it’s needed most.
What you’ll do:
Be the subject matter expert to design, develop and enhance tools, resources, and compelling training content for hotel teams.
Lead the creation and delivery of professional training and engagement activities for hotel leaders and corporate colleagues – from immersive learning sessions to targeted bulletins and alerts.
Collaborate with EMEAA Safety & Security Directors and hotel teams as a trusted Business Partner on key initiatives and S&S priorities to help drive excellence in S&S performance.
Support the implementation of EMEAA-specific safety and security assurance measures.
Analyse data and insights to assess the impact of interventions, identify emerging risks, and drive corrective actions in partnership with hotels.
Act as a key contact for corporate safety and security initiatives across EMEAA, supporting global adoption and working closely with facilities management colleagues.
While your focus will be EMEAA, much of your work will have a global impact – helping to support new business integration, shape the content and deliver projects that help keep our hotels and guests safe & secure around the world.
What you’ll bring:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Health (Food Safety), Fire Safety or similar.
Significant experience in an advisory or business partner Health & Safety role in a
globalbusiness of a similar scale.
Proven ability to create and deliver impactful content and learning materials, ideally in a multi-site or hospitality context.
Project management expertise – able to balance multiple workstreams, analyse complex data, and deliver practical solutions.
Outstanding attention to detail, presentation, and communication skills.
The ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve results.
Experience of working in a global role would be desirable, along with experience of the property sector.
