The AI Governance Manager runs the day‑to‑day execution of IHG’s enterprise AI governance program. The role operationalizes and leads AI intake and risk reviews, prepares use cases for Responsible AI Steering Committee (SteerCo) review, and tracks decisions and follow‑through to ensure responsible AI adoption across the enterprise. It also develops clear, practical guidance to help teams understand when and how to use AI responsibly. This is a hands‑on governance role focused on turning AI risk and policy requirements into simple, repeatable processes that teams can easily follow.
Your Day to Day
AI Governance Operations & Intake
Run the day‑to‑day AI governance operating model, embedding AI risk into existing Security, Privacy, Legal, and Third‑Party Risk processes.
Coordinate AI intake and triage to ensure new AI tools, features, and use cases follow defined review pathways.
Maintain governance documentation and audit‑ready records of AI decisions and approvals.
2) SteerCo & Working Group Enablement
Prepare AI use cases for Responsible AI SteerCo review, including risk summaries, escalation rationale, and follow‑up actions.
Manage agendas, materials, and action tracking for AI governance forums.
Translate advisory outcomes into clear actions, owners, timelines, and remediation tracking.
3) Responsible Use Enablement & Guidance
Develop and maintain colleague‑friendly Responsible AI guidance (do/don’t use, data handling, approved vs. public tools, escalation paths).
Create practical job aids and a clear “how to engage governance” playbook for key audiences.
4) Policy, Platform & Agentic Governance Support
Provide operational input into AI‑related policy and standard updates.
Support governance for enterprise AI platforms, connectors, and agentic capabilities in partnership with Security Architecture and the AI CoE.
Ensure governance requirements, exceptions, and risk acceptances are tracked prior to rollout.
5) Metrics, Reporting & Readiness
Define and report AI governance KPIs and trends for SteerCo and leadership.
Produce executive‑ready reporting and support audit, regulatory, and incident readiness related to AI use.
What We Need from You
- 5+ years in governance, risk, compliance, security, privacy, data governance, or technology risk roles.
- Demonstrated experience documenting and operationalizing enterprise processes (SOPs, workflows, RACI, templates).
- Strong writing and editing skills with a track record producing clear guidance for non-technical audiences.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders and driving decisions through governance forums.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and AI lifecycle (use case definition, data inputs, model development/selection, deployment, monitoring).
- Strong program management skills (planning, tracking, dependency management, action closure).
- Experience with AI governance / model risk management / Responsible AI programs.
- Exposure to governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO 27001/27701, SOC2, COBIT) and/or AI-related regulatory requirements.
- Experience building training content with HR/L&D and deploying via LMS.
- Tooling experience (ServiceNow GRC / Jira / Confluence / SharePoint / MS Purview / eDiscovery / workflow tools).
Preferred Hospitality/consumer, highly regulated, or global enterprise experience.
Travel – 10%
Location – Atlanta, GA: Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
The salary range for this role is $113,000.00 to $135,000.00. This role is also eligible for bonus pay (as applicable). We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, and other benefits to employees.
