The InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown is located in the Wilshire Grand building, standing 73 stories tall in the core of Downtown’s historic, entertainment, financial, arts, and sports districts. Ideally placed at the heart of the revitalized, energy-charged urban center of the United States’ second-largest city, the hotel provides first-class hospitality that seamlessly intertwines with the fabric of the burgeoning Downtown area.

Your Day to Day
The Lobby Greeter greets and welcomes hotel and outside guests, provides information, assists with directions, and activates services in the lobby area. They may also help with guest requests and complaints.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Advise guests of services in the lobby area, such as the restaurant, bar, front desk, and lounge
• Provide information about hotel services and local attractions
• Assist guests with requests and complaints
• Ensure the lobby area is clean and orderly
• Maintain high standards of service for all guests
• Anticipate and fulfill guest needs by demonstrating True Listening and True Responsiveness
• Give special attention to VIP guests
• Maintain and demonstrate knowledge of IHG One Rewards program and Elite benefits; show recognition and appreciation to Elite guests

What We Need From You

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year experience in a hotel, or a similar customer or guest service environment. Luxury experience preferred.

Knowledge and skills:

• Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests and employees.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally, including problem resolution skills and consistent follow-up to ensure the satisfaction of every guest
• Fluency in English required, other languages preferred
• Carrying, pushing, or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Frequently walking, standing up throughout the facility.
• Frequently bending or stooping
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

What We Offer

The hourly pay range for this role is $21.06 to $31.59. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Los Angeles, California. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
