What is the job?

Under the supervision of the Executive Chef, and within the limits of established policies and procedures, the Sous Chef is directly in charge of the Lebanese Restaurant kitchen. He/She is responsible for ensuring the highest food quality standards, addressing any quality issues, overseeing menu development, recipes, food presentation, and staff scheduling, while continuously introducing creative culinary ideas to enhance the guest experience.

Reports directly to the Executive Chef.

Provides functional assistance and direction to the Lebanese Restaurant kitchen operation as assigned.

Coordinates functions and activities with other Food and Beverage department heads.

Your day to day

Acts as In-Charge of the Lebanese Restaurant kitchen, supervising the functioning of all team members, facilities, and costs to ensure maximum departmental profit and operational excellence.
Controls and analyzes, on an ongoing basis, the following:
1.Quality levels of production, taste, and presentation of all dishes.
2.Guest satisfaction and feedback.
3.Food merchandising, promotion, and marketing opportunities.
4.Operating/payroll/food costs.
5.Cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
6.Leads the development of the annual Lebanese Restaurant menu, ensuring recipes are authentic, cost-effective, and aligned with current culinary trends.
Regularly reviews and updates food presentation styles, ensuring modern and appealing plate presentations.
Innovates and introduces new ideas and signature dishes to continuously enhance the Lebanese Restaurant offering.
Prepares, organizes, and maintains recipes and kitchen documentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Establishes and maintains effective employee relations, schedules staff shifts, and ensures fair workload distribution.
