Your day to day

We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Learning and Development Manager who thrives in dynamic hospitality environments and is ready to champion the IHG culture through exceptional training programs. In this role, you’ll lead the hotel’s learning function—developing team capabilities, fostering career growth, and embedding service excellence into every guest interaction.

You’ll partner with department heads and leaders across the hotel to design and implement learning strategies that ensure our people are engaged, empowered, and consistently delivering True Hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Identify training needs and opportunities to support hotel performance, service quality, and employee engagement.

Design, deliver, and evaluate learning programs aligned with IHG brand standards and operational objectives.

Lead the onboarding process for new colleagues, ensuring a smooth and inspiring start to their journey with IHG.

Coach, mentor, and support department trainers and leaders in delivering on-the-job learning and performance feedback.

Collaborate with HR and leadership to support talent development, succession planning, and career pathways.

Monitor training effectiveness using KPIs, feedback, and performance metrics; refine programs for continuous improvement.

Champion the IHG Way of Working and foster a strong learning culture throughout the hotel.

What we need from you

A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in training, learning & development, or HR within a hospitality environment.

A passion for people development, with strong facilitation and coaching skills.

Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, high-impact learning programs.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and digital learning tools is an advantage.

Experience in luxury or branded hotel environments (preferred but not essential).
