This role will drive a culture of continuous learning and high performance by aligning learning strategies with business priorities, championing the IHG School of Business Performance offer, and embedding impactful development initiatives across the region. As a trusted business partner to HR and leadership teams, the role ensures learning and performance strategies are in place to effectively address skill gaps, foster a culture of high performance and support long-term talent growth.
- Assess Learning Needs: Partner with HRBPs, Talent Leads, and leaders to regularly assess skill gaps and align learning solutions with strategic and regional capability goals.
- Promote Learning Offerings: Champion the IHG School of Business Performance learning offer, ensuring colleagues and leaders are aware of what's available and are accessing existing content before developing new solutions
- Performance Culture: Partner with HR and Talent teams to integrate learning into high-performance culture initiatives, coaching managers to foster continuous improvement.
- Develop and Deliver Learning Solutions: Scope and design tailored learning programs with third-party vendors when global solutions are unavailable, and deliver selected learning and development initiatives. This may at time involve delivered learning to colleagues outside the AMER region but who are in a similar timezone.
- Evaluate and Evolve Learning Impact: Define measurable outcomes, report quarterly insights, and ensure learning resources remain current and aligned with evolving business needs and industry standards.
What we need from you
- Extensive L&D Expertise: Proven background in learning, training, and leadership development, with a track record of designing and delivering impactful learning interventions.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in learning management systems (LMS) and up to date with emerging learning technologies.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent presentation, coaching, and consulting skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across diverse audiences.
- Project & Performance Focused: Skilled in managing multiple initiatives, assessing learning effectiveness, and measuring ROI aligned with business goals.
- Global & Cultural Awareness: Experienced in multinational, matrixed environments, with cultural sensitivity and virtual collaboration capabilities.
- Growth-Oriented Mindset: Committed to continuous learning, external networking, and applying best practices with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
- Practical outlook: High standards but has a strong 80/20 mindset and can deliver at pace
