Kitchen Steward - Casual

Holiday Inn Melbourne Airport is currently seeking a casual kitchen steward to join our busy evening kitchen team.

 

A little taste of your day-to-day:

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

● Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment

● Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators

● Receiving and organising deliveries to the kitchen

● Supporting the chefs and other kitchen staff in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washing

● Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes

 

What we need from you:

●Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward or cleaning experience

● Experience working in a busy kitchen environment and working to deadlines

● Flexible- available to work 3-4 evenings per week casually when needed

● Strong - be able to lift, push and pull incoming orders up to 23kg

● Willingness to learn new things and work as part of a wider hotel team 

● Australian working rights
