The secret ingredient in every single dish served in our restaurant is a pinch of hard work behind the scenes. We’re looking for a Kitchen Steward to help our chefs make every dish memorable by setting and maintaining exceptional standards in our kitchens.

 

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment
  • Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
  • Receiving and organising deliveries to the kitchen
  • Supporting the chefs and other kitchen staff in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washing
  • Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes

 

What we need from you:

At Crowne Plaza Adelaide, we love people that are authentic, confident, and passionate about creating outstanding guest experiences. We are looking for energetic and approachable people, with excellent communication skills, and a can-do attitude!

  • A passion for delivering great service
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
  • Previous experience in a hotel environment beneficial
  • Experience working as part of a team and working to deadlines
  • It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so attention to safe manual handling is a must; including occasional lifting/push/pull of heavy items and you may need to bend and kneel to complete some activities 
  • High standard of cleanliness and safety at work
  • The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays  
  • Compliance - must hold a Food Safety Certificate
  • Meet the legal requirement to work in Australia without limitations or restrictions
