Job Summary:

As a Kids Lounge Attendant, you will create a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will lead activities, supervise play, and ensure every child has an unforgettable experience during their stay. Your role will be vital in fostering a sense of joy and belonging in our young guests.

A little bit about your day:

Reporting to the Recreation Manager, every day is different, but you will mostly:

  • Promote Regent’s service philosophy and style through our people attributes. 
  • Ensure the promotion of recreational activities throughout the resort.
  • Supervise and engage children in recreational activities, games, and crafts.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the Kids Lounge.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate programming and activities.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and provide updates on their children’s activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Kids Lounge area.
  • Assist with all property programming including daily and seasonal events and activations, pool experience, fitness and wellness activities along with culinary additions to the activities created by the resort.
  • Develop a complete understanding and adhere to all government-mandated codes in the areas of fire, sanitation, health, and safety.
  • Work closely with various departments, including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Food and Beverage, Spa, Banquets, Meetings and Events Services, Concierge, and Security, to ensure the seamless execution of special events.
  • Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We need from you:

  • Experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to engage children with enthusiasm and creativity.
  • A passion for providing excellent service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional child care certifications is a plus.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods and able to move throughout the property as required.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, and bend repetitively.
  • Ability to carry, lift, push, pull items weighing up to 50 pounds. 
  • Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays as per business demands.

What you can expect from us:

The hourly pay rate for this role is $22.50 per hour. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. A colleague’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
