This role provides support to IHG’s Growth efforts through assistance with a range of key tasks
- related to the evaluation of signing opportunities of IHG brands
- throughout the internal approval process of signing hotel management or franchise deals
- related to the analysis of market, brands, competitions and signing trends

Your day to day
• Lead research and authoring of papers in support of individual deals for presentation to Deal Approval Committee.
• Supports site visits, pro-forma financial projections, as well as market and hotel feasibility evaluations.
• Support analysis and presentation of non-standard deal activity (including inducements, capital projects, key money, equity investments, etc.)
• Conduct and present research to support formulation of development strategy, financial analysis or market insights.
• Manage and maintain a centralized database on approvals, deal values, brand distribution and market intelligence, etc.
• Manage and provide guidance to drive signing effectiveness.
• Support financial-related strategic projects on ad hoc basis.

What we need from you
• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hotel Management or real estate related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial real estate, consulting or hotel industry with exposure to development and feasibility analysis
• Evidence of successful application of the Required Skills
• Excellent Chinese & English oral and written communication skills for the purpose of conveying information to internal and external stakeholders, or providing information via written reports or correspondence
• Strong analytical skills and good understanding of China hotel / real estate-related market knowledge, as well as feasibility and evaluation methodology
• Familiar with Uniform System of Accounts for hotels
• Able to build financial modeling and familiar with concepts such as IRR, NPV, DCF
• Strong PC skills including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Attention to detail and professional work ethic
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, able to interact, influence and build relationships at all levels
• Able to work independently and within teams
