We’re searching for an Income Auditor to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the hotel’s daily revenue, identify discrepancies, and support strong financial controls at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
● Conducting the daily audit of hotel revenue and ensuring all revenue transactions are accurately recorded and accounted for
● Reviewing daily revenue reports from Rooms, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Spa, Laundry, and other revenue-generating departments
● Reconciling Opera, POS, payment gateway, credit card, cash, and other revenue records to ensure accuracy and completeness
● Reviewing daily transactions, postings, discounts, allowances, voids, refunds, complimentary items, and adjustments to ensure they are properly authorized and recorded
● Identifying revenue discrepancies, investigating variances, and coordinating with relevant departments to resolve issues promptly
● Verifying room revenue, package inclusions, taxes, service charges, city ledger, guest ledger, and other relevant revenue postings
● Reviewing Food & Beverage checks, banquet postings, outlet reports, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate revenue capture
● Ensuring all cashier and revenue-related transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and comply with hotel policies and procedures
● Preparing daily revenue audit reports, reconciliation statements, exception reports, and other financial reports as required
● Maintaining accurate records of audit findings, adjustments, discrepancies, and supporting documentation for future reference and review
● Coordinating closely with Front Office, Food & Beverage, Reservations, Sales, Revenue Management, and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting
● Assisting with month-end closing activities, revenue reconciliations, and preparation of financial information as required
● Monitoring internal controls and identifying potential revenue leakage, irregularities, or process gaps and bringing them to the attention of the relevant manager
● Supporting external and internal audits by providing accurate documentation and financial records when required
● Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring all financial and guest information is handled securely and professionally
What We need from you:
● Diploma or higher education qualification in Accounting, Finance, Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred
● Minimum 2–4 years of experience in hotel Finance, Income Audit, Night Audit, Accounts, or a similar role, preferably within a hotel environment
● Strong understanding of hotel revenue processes, financial controls, and daily revenue reconciliation
● Good knowledge of hotel systems such as Opera and Food & Beverage POS systems, with the ability to review and reconcile system-generated reports
● Strong numerical, analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
● Good understanding of cash, credit card, city ledger, guest ledger, room revenue, Food & Beverage revenue, and other hotel revenue transactions
● Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
● Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet daily deadlines and manage multiple audit requirements
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both Finance and operational teams
● High level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and professional judgment
● Knowledge of hotel accounting procedures, internal controls, and applicable financial and statutory requirements preferred
