As a Food Safety and Hygiene Specialist in InterContinental Semiramis you will be assisting in overseeing the all the aspects of Food And Beverage Hygiene and Safety under the general guidance and supervision of Food And Beverage Director and the Assistant Food Safety And Hygiene Manager Your day-to-day
- Manages all the functions related to Food Safety to achieve the optimum standards of Hygiene.
- Develop, Control and find ways to reduce the operations liability for accidents or injuries.
- Follows and implements all IC standards, policies and procedures according to the Fire Life Safety, Food Hygiene ( HACCP), Chemical use, Protctive Equipment and others.
- Spot Check Kitchen and Back of the House operation daily to ensure high quality of cleanliness.
- Ensure the Hotel Food Safety Policy is communicated to all employees and that all food handling staff comply with personal hygiene rules.
- Assist the Food & Beverage Director and Executive Chef is developing training plans, develops training material in accordance with IHG guidelines and implement training for all food handling staff.
- Food Hygiene training will be given as part of the induction process for all new hires.
- Keep up to date with food safety legislation and technological developments in this field
- Carry out food safety hazard analysis as required and revise the assessment of food safety risks as necessary
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
• Administrative skills is essential
• Ability to communicate fluently in English, Arabic is a plus
• HACCP certified
• Hospitality courses relating to Food Preparation or Culinary Arts are essential
• Bsc. Degree in Veterinary Medicine / Bsc. Degree in Agriculture Engineering
