ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Team Support & Efficiency
• Assist Room Attendants with lifting mattresses, handling linens, and preparing carts
• Deliver supplies, amenities, and clean linen to designated areas and guest rooms
• Remove soiled linens, trash, and recycling from floors and transport them to proper locations
• Receive, log, and distribute linen deliveries
• Replenish housekeeping closets and prepare supplies for the next shift
Public Area Cleanliness
• Maintain cleanliness of guest corridors, vending areas, stairwells, elevator trucks and public restrooms
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors and shared spaces
• Collect, wash, and return reusable items like mugs and glasses
• Participate in deep-cleaning projects and assist in lobby and laundry tasks as needed
Guest Response & Communication
• Respond to guest and team requests promptly, including linen deliveries and special setups
• Report maintenance issues or unsafe conditions immediately
• Collaborate with housekeeping, front desk, and engineering teams to ensure guest satisfaction
Safety, Organization & Inventory
• Keep closets neat, organized, and well-stocked
• Monitor supply usage and minimize waste
• Adhere to health and safety protocols, including PPE usage
• Support the Joint Health & Safety Committee through timely reporting of concerns

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Required:
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills; fluency in spoken English
• Prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or facilities support
• Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Strong work ethic and collaborative mindset
Preferred:
• Previous experience in luxury hospitality or hotel operations
• Familiarity with unionized work environments
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires:
• Lifting and carrying items up to 75 lbs.; pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stretching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
• Navigating stairwells, corridors, and guest areas with equipment and supplies
• Operating housekeeping tools and carts safely and efficiently
