We’re searching for a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping colleagues, maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation, and ensure every guest enjoys a comfortable and welcoming stay at Crowne Plaza Kathmandu Pulchowk.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
● Supervising the daily housekeeping operations to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are clean, well maintained, and presented to hotel standards
● Leading, coaching, and motivating housekeeping colleagues to deliver consistent standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and guest service
● Inspecting guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, maintenance, and amenities meet established hotel standards
● Coordinating closely with Front Office to manage room status, priorities, early arrivals, late departures, VIP rooms, and special guest requirements
● Communicating with Engineering and other departments to report and follow up on maintenance issues and ensure timely resolution
● Allocating daily duties and monitoring the performance, attendance, grooming, and productivity of housekeeping colleagues
● Ensuring guest requests, complaints, and special requirements are handled promptly and professionally, with appropriate service recovery when required
● Monitoring the availability and proper use of linen, guest amenities, cleaning supplies, and housekeeping equipment
● Conducting regular checks of linen rooms, storage areas, housekeeping pantries, and other assigned areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock levels
● Supporting inventory control, stocktaking, requisitions, and cost-conscious use of housekeeping supplies and equipment
● Assisting with training, coaching, and onboarding of new colleagues to ensure they understand hotel standards, procedures, and service expectations
● Supporting deep-cleaning schedules, preventive maintenance coordination, special cleaning projects, and other housekeeping initiatives as required
● Ensuring compliance with hotel standards relating to hygiene, health and safety, chemical handling, environmental practices, and workplace safety
What We need from you:
● Diploma or higher education qualification in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred
● Minimum 3–5 years of Housekeeping experience within a hotel environment, with supervisory experience preferred
● Strong knowledge of hotel housekeeping operations, guest room cleaning standards, public-area cleaning, and room inspection procedures
● Good understanding of linen management, guest amenities, cleaning chemicals, housekeeping equipment, and inventory control
● Good leadership and people management skills, with the ability to supervise, coach, and motivate a diverse team
● Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, and guest service skills
● Strong attention to detail with a passion for cleanliness, presentation, and maintaining high quality standards
● Ability to coordinate effectively with Front Office, Engineering, Laundry, and other departments
● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hotel environment and manage changing operational priorities
● Knowledge of hygiene, health and safety, chemical handling, and workplace safety standards as required by local regulations
