Working in a fast-paced hotel environment, you’ll take pride in keeping our guest spaces to a high standard, while being a friendly and reliable presence for both guests and colleagues
Guest Experience
- Create a welcoming guest experience by maintaining clean, comfortable and well-presented rooms and public areas.
- Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously, using HubOS to manage and record requests where required.
- Recognise and record guest preferences to support a more personalised stay.
- Handle lost property accurately and in accordance with hotel procedures.Operations & Quality
- Service guest rooms, suites and public areas in line with IHG brand standards and the IHG Clean Promise.
- Maintain housekeeping equipment, pantries, linen stores and required stock levels.
- Report maintenance issues promptly and support basic maintenance tasks when required.
- Monitor room servicing progress and communicate updates to the Housekeeping leadership team.
- Contribute to stocktakes and maintain accurate housekeeping supplies and equipment.
- Achieve daily productivity and quality standards while prioritising workload effectively.
Responsible Business
- Follow safe working practices and correct procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Identify and report hazards and support appropriate risk controls.
- Support the hotel’s environmental and sustainability initiatives through responsible housekeeping practices.
- Maintain high standards of personal presentation, hygiene and workplace safety
What do we need from you?
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, cares about the guest experience and enjoys being part of a team.
Previous housekeeping experience is desirable, but we’re also open to people with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is desirable but not necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Friendly, reliable and comfortable working as part of a team.
- Good communication and the ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of being on your feet, bending, and safely lifting, pushing and pulling equipment and linen.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays as required.
- Legal right to work in Australia.
