We’re always looking for new ways to raise the bar. So we’re searching for a Hotel Sales & Services Manager with a track record of driving sales and smashing targets to help us fill our rooms, meeting suites and banquet halls.

 

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Actively prospects and solicits new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone solicitation, conducting outside sales calls, online bidding/contracting, site inspections, client entertainment, contracting, RFP responses, and written communication. Targets key relationships with customers directly and through other sources including travel industry, CVB, etc. Meets solicitation and maintenance call requirements.
  • Works with Director of Sales, other Managers, and Revenue Management to assure maximum utilization of facility. Prepares weekly sales reports and other departmental reports as designated as well as other correspondence. Includes correspondence to customers and internal departments, internal booking reports, sales activity recaps, pre/post trip reports, contributes to hotel’s marketing and sales plans and revenue forecasts.
  • Participates in daily business review meeting, weekly sales meetings, function specific training, mystery shopping and other sales related meetings as required.
  • Participates and professionally represents the hotel in industry related professional organizations, trade shows, community events, networking events, and sales trips.
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of market trends, competition and customers. 
  • Promotes positive relations with guests, customers, and employees. Handles complaints by following instant pacification procedures ensuring satisfaction.
  • Assisting with and completing special projects and assignments as designated by the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Qualifications and Expectations:

Some College plus 2 years sales or marketing related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior hotel sales experience preferred.  Must speak fluent English.  Other languages preferred.

This job requires ability to perform the following:

  • Frequently  standing up or moving within and outside of the facility
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Handling objects

Other:

  • Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with others; demonstrated ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when completing paperwork and management reports, interpreting results, giving and receiving instructions,  and training 
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances are utilized frequently.
  • Problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities are used often. 
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as needed.

 

What you can expect from us:

The hourly pay range for this role is $22.00 to $24.00.
