As a Hostess at Crowne Plaza Muscat OCEC, you will be the face of our restaurant, creating a warm and welcoming first impression for all guests. Your role is pivotal in ensuring smooth guest flow and managing reservations to deliver exceptional dining experiences aligned with IHG standards.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Greet all guests promptly, courteously, and professionally upon arrival.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and satisfaction.
- Manage the reservation system efficiently, including phone, online, and walk-in bookings.
- Maintain an organized waiting list and provide accurate wait times during busy periods.
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure seamless table turnover and seating.
- Maintain a clean and orderly hostess stand and entrance area at all times.
- Stay updated with restaurant menus, promotions, and events.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Build rapport with repeat guests and recognize VIPs in line with IHG service standards.
- Support the restaurant team during peak hours as needed.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- High school diploma or equivalent; diploma in Hospitality or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant environment preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; Arabic or other language skills are a plus.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with reservation software or POS systems is advantageous.
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
