Now, we are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead our talented culinary brigade and continue elevating our multi-outlet dining experience, which includes Advieh Restaurant & Bar and the exclusive Club InterContinental Lounge.

As the Head Chef, you will report directly to the General Manager and work in close collaboration with Partner Chef Gareth Stewart to deliver an unparalleled culinary experience across all outlets:
- Lead, inspire and develop a passionate team of chefs, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and excellence.
 - Take creative ownership of the kitchen — curating menus that celebrate contemporary Middle Eastern flavours, seasonal New Zealand ingredients, and global culinary artistry.
 - Champion Club InterContinental — one of Auckland’s most sophisticated and exclusive hotel experiences — crafting bespoke breakfast, high tea and evening offerings that showcase refinement and innovation.
 - Maintain uncompromising standards of quality, presentation and consistency across all dishes.
 - Demonstrate strong commercial and financial acumen, working in close partnership with the General Manager, Partner Chef, Finance, and Food & Beverage leadership to deliver on key performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction targets.
 - Build and mentor a high-performing team, nurturing future culinary leaders within a stable, supportive and dynamic environment.
 - Uphold IHG’s True Hospitality for Good values by embedding sustainability, safety and responsible business practices in all operations.
 
What we need from you
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-end or award-winning venue.
 - A passion for modern Middle Eastern flavours and a commitment to using premium local ingredients.
 - Strong leadership, mentoring, and organisational skills with a calm & collaborative approach.
 - Financial and commercial acumen to manage budgets and drive profitability.
 - A genuine desire to be part of a dynamic, globally connected brand where innovation, teamwork and excellence are celebrated.
 - A formal culinary qualification or equivalent experience in professional kitchens demonstrating technical mastery and creative flair.
