What’s the job?
We are currently seeking a Groups & Events Sales Executive to join our team at Crowne Plaza Melbourne. In this role, you’ll manage group and event bookings from enquiry to execution, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for clients. You'll coordinate a variety of events including weddings, meetings, and group stays, while also supporting sales conversion and revenue growth.
 
Your day to day
  • Sales & Revenue Support: Convert business through tailored proposals, negotiations, upselling, and collaboration with the Sales, Revenue, and Commercial teams to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • End-to-End Event Coordination: Manage group and event bookings from initial enquiry through to execution, including rooming lists, site inspections, space allocation, and stakeholder communication to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Systems, Standards & Relationships: Maintain accurate data in Delphi and other systems, uphold brand and procedural standards, and build strong internal and external relationships to support long-term success.
 
What we need from you
  • Minimum diploma in Hotel Management, Sales & Marketing or related field preferred
  • Hotel, Tourism and Hospitality experience preferred
  • Hotel Systems knowledge i.e. Delphi, Opera or similar preferable
  • Demonstrated proven ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
  • Experience in managing multi-stakeholder relationships in a matrix environment which offers an environment of multiplicity, uncertainty, and change
  • Ability to work across multiple diversified business units and market segments
