To oversee and coordinate the cleaning and upkeep of all public areas of the hotel, ensuring they are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest satisfaction. The Public Area Team Leader supervises a team of attendants, assigns tasks, and ensures smooth daily operations.
Your day to day

Supervise and guide the public area attendants during shifts.

Assign daily cleaning tasks and ensure they are completed on time.

Inspect lobbies, restrooms, corridors, elevators, pool area, and other public spaces to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are met.

Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and maintained properly.

Coordinate with the housekeeping supervisor for special cleaning tasks or deep cleaning schedules.

Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints regarding public area cleanliness.

Train new attendants on cleaning techniques, safety, and hotel standards.

Monitor stock levels of cleaning materials and request replenishment when needed.

Maintain good communication with other departments (engineering, front office, F&B) for smooth operations.

Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed at all times.

Assist in creating duty rosters for the public area team.
What we need from you

Minimum 1–2 years of housekeeping experience in hotels, with at least 6 months in a supervisory/leading role.

Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemicals, and equipment.

Good leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

Flexible and willing to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Ability to perform light to moderate physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching).
